The third new release of the ATUM model series for Baselworld unites steel, pure classic finish and transparency.
The ATUM Pure M is the most striking appearance among the models presented at the Baselworld 2016, and it combines three innovations from the Grossmann manufactory: the steel version, the specially designed caliber 201.0 in the pure classic finish and the partially transparent dial with An insert made of ultra-soft woven steel threads.
The initial M stands for "mesh", the English name for the steel fabric. In contemporary architecture, building shells symbolize transparency and lightness. They provide a view of the structure and life behind the façade. In the ATUM Pure M, the clock face insert also reveals pure watchmaking art on the front. Among other things, the mechanism of the Grossmann manual lift with pushers can be observed. Another special feature is limited to 50 copies each for the housing variants stainless steel and stainless steel DLC dianoir.
The revelation of pure watchmaking
The ATUM Pure M harmonizes puristic forms and precise function with the cool modernity of steel construction. The case impresses with its striking slim bezel. Crown and pusher point to the characteristic elevator mechanism.
Significantly different is the face of the watch, which shows the caliber 201.0 in its transparent center. The dial is a draft of the Grossmann design engineers and is manufactured in the manufactory in six parts. The fine scales for the minutes and seconds are unmistakable for ATUM. From the minute ring eight powerful hour indexes are worked out. The modern Arabic numbers 9, 12 and 3 characterize the hour ring. The mesh dial inserts transparency into the game and provides a view of the heart of the watch. Second, logos and pointer feed complete the elaborate dial. The lance-shaped hands are made of stainless steel and are designed to match the "Hy-Ceram" indexes.
